Myler Black Steel 7" Seven Shank, MB 27PB Correctional Low Ported Barrel, Level 2-3
The MB 27PB is a Myler correctional mouthpiece, which is a ported mouthpiece that collapses onto the outer lip and bars and rotates onto the tongue. The port, although narrow and somewhat low, allows room for the horse’s tongue to pass under the bit. When the reins are engaged and the mouthpiece rotates onto the tongue, it applies two concentrated points of pressure on the tongue for quick control. Because this port is only 1 ¼" high, it will apply little to no palate pressure. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation.

The mouthpiece is fixed to the cheek with a decorative “stack.” The entire shank moves independently of the mouthpiece. The purchase is slightly angled away from the cheek to avoid rubbing.
